Attention: Due to its length (almost 40 km) and its difference in height (about 1,500 m), Il Sentiero dei due Santi (The Path of the Two Saints) is particularly demanding. It takes several days to complete it and since the main accommodation facilities are located in Isola del Gran Sasso (starting or arrival point, depending if you follow the path in the opposite direction), in Fonte Cerreto and in Assergi (very closed to the arrival point), it is necessary to take into account one of more night bivouacs.
Minimum equipment required: Trekking shoes, layered clothing, windproof and rainproof jacket, sleeping bag, backpack with water bottle and food, trekking poles (recommended), headlamp.
