The itinerary leading to Vallone d'Angri leaves from San Francesco Mountain Hut (1,482m): you can reach it from Fonte Cerreto, Santo Stefano di Sessanio, or Castel del Monte reaching and crossing Campo Imperatore, leaving on the left the road to Fonte Vetica and going ahead for a while to Vado di Sole. If you come from Rigopiano and Farindola, you must climb over the Vado and follow the downhill trail to the plateau and the mountain hut, open both during the summer and during the winter winter with the restaurant-café service.
