From Capannelle Pass, go downhill along SS 80 direction Teramo. From km 26.300, a road cut into the mountainside branches off towards the east (right side if you go down) and crosses the northern slope of Mt. San Franco. At the junction there is a sign indicating Panepucci Alessandri Mountain Hut. Follow the road for 3.8 km and cross a picnic area created by the Park until you reach a junction (1,425m) where a steep carriage road leaves on the right.
