Ring route with departure and arrival point in Barisciano (AQ).
For this ring route one departs from Barisciano and climbs towards the mountain, but just outside the village a stop is worth to visit the "La Buona Terra" farm run by Marco Matergia. Here one can find all the specialties of this mountain's side: from the cereals to the legumes, the saffron from L'Aquila and the Turchesa potato. Going on one reaches S. Stefano di Sessanio, where visitors are welcomed by the enchanting atmosphere of the villages's narrow streets, a village which was connected with the House of Medici from Florence due to the blooming wool trade.
