Moscatello di Castiglione

The history
The production of the Moscatello di Castiglione dates back to the first half of 1600, as many documents from the 18th century report.
In the early 1900 this production was interrupted due to the Phylloxera and the high emigration rate from Abruzzi's inland to the foreign countries. The Moscatello was kept in very small plots of land anyway, and it was used by families and on the occasion of the S. Biagio patron saint's festival.
