Snowflake Potato

Ancient Crop Variety

History
Characteristic variety of the mountain and piedmont areas. It is a more recent variety than Turchesa Potato, another kind of potato that has been recently recovered by the Park Authority. As a matter of fact, it spread around the 20th century.

Current Production Area in the Park: Mainly present in some Municipalities of the Park territory in the Province of L'Aquila.

Description
Tuber of medium size, golden yellow skin, and very tasty pulp.

Product Availability: Sowing takes place in May and harvesting in October.
