Trebbiano d'Abruzzo
History
The presence in Abruzzi of a wine obtained from Trebulanum sirr grapes dates back to the 16th century.
Current Production Area in the Park: The grapes used for the production of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC wine (Controlled Designation of Origin) must be produced in the territories mentioned in the Production Specifications and must be obtained solely by vineyards situated in the hills or in the plateaus, whose altitude goes not beyond the 500m a.s.l. and exceptionally 600m for the lands with a southern exposure, as well as for the areas sloping down to the sea, except the wet valley bottoms.
Description
Trebbiano d'Abruzzo wine, when it is sold, must meet the following features:
- color: straw yellow;
- perfume: winy, pleasant, slightly scented;
- taste: dry, sapid, velvety, harmonious
