Former St Francis Monastery, housing the Park Authority Head Offices

Housing the Park Authority Head Offices, the former St Francis Monastery in Assergi dates back to 1300 and has inside a cloister with frescoes dating back to the late 16th century.
The renovation works started in the early 1990s thanks to funds granted by Regione Abruzzo and by the Park Authority. The works ended in October 2000, year in which the structure was purchased by the Park Authority.
