St Clement a Casauria Abbey

The complex of St Clement a Casauria is one of the major examples of medieval religious architecture of Central-Southern Italy. The Benedictine complex, founded in 871, was built according to the will of Louis II of Italy and was dedicated to St Clement when the mortal remains of the martyr Pope were moved.
