Acquasanta Terme, already known during the Roman period for the therapeutic properties of its thermal waters, has a medieval urban plan with the interesting churches of St John the Baptist and St Mary Magdalene (14th century).
From the nearby Paggese, where in St Lawrence Church (13th century) it is possible to admire a wonderful 16th century travertine tabernacle and a triptych by Pietro Alemanno (15th century), a beautiful trail leads to the medieval village of Castel di Luco, with its original round-plan Castle (14th century) and continues then to the country hamlets of Arola and S. Gregorio.
