From Amatrice take SS road 577 to Campotosto and follow it for 4.4 km, until you reach a hairpin bend on the right from which two secondary roads branch off. Take the road on the left going down to Tronto and reaching Capricchia. Go ahead along the narrow dirt road entering a ravine, take a trail cut into the mountain side and touching an ENEL intake, reach a pass (1,384 meters, 3 km from Capricchia), where a dirt road marked by a Park sign leaves. Immediately after, the monument of Sacro Cuore, facing Amatrice.
