The name "Centro Due Parchi" (The Two Parks Center) derives from the fact that Arquata del Tronto is the one and only Municipality in Europe situated within two National Parks, Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park and Monti Sibillini National Park.

Centro Due Parchi is a Country House, Park House, Infopoint and Standing Education Centre, and is managed by Cooperativa Forestalp.


It organises several activities, such as nature weekends; it makes available orienteering equipment and maps, as well as a climbing wall. "Green stays" and school trips are also organised.
